Conditionals in conversation

Focus: Grammar fix

Let's practise formulating some more Conditional sentences in daily contexts.

Watch the video lesson and do the exercise in the video.

I'd recommend that you write down one example from the lesson for each type of Conditional sentence. Then, formulate a similar sentence yourself.

Remember that creating your own example of a grammatical structure is the best way of making it reflexive in your speech.

Focus: Dictation

Let's end the week with a dictation to see how well you hear the structures you've activated this week.

Follow these steps:

  1. Download the ZIP file.
  2. Listen to the complete Audio once without looking at the PDF transcript.
  3. Start the Audio again.
  4. Listen to each sentence two or three times, stop the recording, and write down the sentence.
  5. Move on to the next sentence.
  6. When you've written the whole text down, compare your script with the PDF transcript.

When you feel you have a good grasp of different Conditional sentences, take the quiz.

You need to get a minimum score of 80% in each quiz to receive your Certificate of Completion, so repeat the quiz until you score above 80%. You can take each quiz up to 10 times.

Congratulations on completing Week 9!

As you would expect in the C1 level, the lessons are longer and more challenging now. This makes revision even more important.

So, take your time! If you need two or three weeks to complete all the lessons in one week, that's absolutely fine.

Just make sure you work a little every day. That will allow you to maintain your momentum and motivation.
