1. Future tenses in conversation + 2. If & When

Focus: Grammar boost

Lesson 1: How to use Future tenses in conversation

Let's review the main Future tenses again: will do, going to do, be doing & do, and will be doing.

The other two Future tenses you studied in Lesson 5 this week (will have done & will have been doing) are not very common, but it's important that you understand their usage and don't get confused when you hear them.

Lesson 2: If & When

Mixing up 'if' and 'when' can confuse your listener. Let's make sure you use them correctly.

Watch both video lessons and do the exercises in each video two or three times until you can answer all the questions without any hesitation.

Focus: Dictation

Let's end the week with a dictation to see how well you hear the structures you've activated this week.

Follow these steps:

  1. Download the ZIP file.
  2. Listen to the complete Audio once without looking at the PDF transcript.
  3. Start the Audio again.
  4. Listen to each sentence two or three times, stop the recording, and write down the sentence.
  5. Move on to the next sentence.
  6. When you've written the whole text down, compare your script with the PDF transcript.

When you feel you've fully mastered the topics in the two video lessons, take the quiz.

You need to get a minimum score of 80% in each quiz to receive your Certificate of Completion, so repeat the quiz until you score above 80%. You can take each quiz up to 10 times.

Congratulations on completing Week 5 of your studies!

Make sure you can easily understand and repeat the in this week's Audio files before you start Week 6.
